Carlos Phillips began serving as President / CEO of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce in March of 2016.  Phillips served as the Senior Vice President of Operations at the Greater Louisville Inc., The Metro Chamber of Commerce of Louisville, KY.  He helped to lead Greater Louisville Inc. (GLI) to be recognized as “Chamber of the Year” in 2007, and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce to be recognized as an industry leader in membership growth and programmatic excellence.

Phillips is an active member of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive, where he serves as a member of the Board’s Executive Committee, Chair of its Education Committee, Chair, of the Membership Development Division, and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He also serves as a Board Member of the Louisville Sports Commission and the University of Kentucky National Alumni Association.  Additionally, Phillips serves on the VisitGreenvilleSC Board of Directors, Community Foundation Board, Metropolitan Arts Council Board, and Urban League of the Upstate Board.

Phillips received an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky and a masters degree from Western Kentucky University. He is a native of Owensboro, KY.
